Meditation workshop

Matthieu Ricard will offer a meditation retreat, guiding participants through techniques that are designed to cultivate mindfulness, altruistic love and compassion, and to overcome afflictive mental states such as anger, greed, jealousy, discouragement, and fear, as outlined on his new book "Why Meditate?"
The meditation retreat, hosted by the Center of Wonder, will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the 7th, and 9:00 to noon on the 8th at the Shooting Star Resort and includes lunch and a copy of Ricard’s recently published book. The entire registration fee will be dedicated to supporting projects in education and health care in Nepal, India, and Tibet, through Karuna-Shechen, a global charity founded by Matthieu Ricard that focuses on the Himalayan region.
